Mr. Desch is a Professional Engineer and Planner registered in the State of New Jersey. He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Dayton. His educational background also includes studies in traffic engineering, accident reconstruction, military engineering and building construction where he had been issued licenses as Construction Official and Building Subcode Official from the State of New Jersey.

Mr. Desch is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, Society of Automotive Engineers, New Jersey Association of Accident Reconstructionists and numerous other professional organizations.

Prior to his present position as President of John Desch Associates, Inc., Jack served as Director of Municipal Services at Storch Engineers, having several offices throughout the northeast. Mr. Desch also served as Township Engineer and Director of Public Works in Clark, New Jersey, and Borough Engineer for Lincoln Park, New Jersey. Mr. Desch was a principal Engineer for Wayne Township and held the additional duty as Traffic Engineer for over three years while with Wayne.

Besides having a strong municipal engineering background with substantial experience with traffic and highway engineering, Mr. Desch has been specializing in the field of traffic accident reconstruction for over 20 years and has served on the catastrophic response team for numerous companies having large fleet operations throughout the country. Utilizing his accident reconstruction expertise, he has participated in the reconstruction of over 4,000 traffic accidents.

Mr. Desch is an ACTAR-accredited reconstructionist and has been qualified as an expert witness before numerous public review boards and both criminal and civil courts of law with respect to his knowledge and experience as it relates to the science of traffic engineering and accident reconstruction. Jack has appeared on Court TV as an expert commentator and has lectured attorneys, law enforcement individuals, accident adjusters and loss control specialists in areas of accident forensics and liability analysis.
