In our experience, visual demonstration is a valuable tool to help planners understand traffic impact. Data entered in SynchroTM traffic signal software can be exported to our SimTraffic, traffic signal simulation software. This software allows the user to provide a real time simulation of how an intersection or network of intersections currently operates or will operate with the addition of a projected number of vehicles. It is a useful tool to provide a visual demonstration of the Level of Service as well as vehicle queuing and traffic congestion.
